We believe giving back isn't a choice. It's a responsibility.
We got our start in Chicago, and it's an important part of who we are. Our community outreach efforts were born from seeing how we could use our unique skills to help out around the city, particularly with access to technology. Now, our community outreach program works to ensure that youth in all our communities have access to the technology, equipment, and training they need to be successful in today's work environment.
Wired to Learn Grant
We believe every student deserves the opportunity for a great education, and that means every school needs access to the technology that powers today's world. To help with that, each year we select an under-resourced school and provide $250,000 worth of technology and professional development over a three-year period. Past recipients have reported better attendance, higher test scores, and increased student engagement.
We donate $2,500 per month to a technological or educational organization nominated by a Relativity team member. Since 2012, we have given $30,000 in Geek Grants each year to organizations that support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics initiatives.
While we don't accept applications for Geek Grants, we are always interested in learning more about what organizations and schools are doing to ensure that youth in our communities have access to the technology, equipment, and training they need to be successful in today's work environment.
We provide our team with volunteer opportunities, such as regularly hosting students at the office for coding workshops and career exploration days. Our volunteer opportunity bank makes it easy for our team members to find causes that matter to them, connect with like-minded colleagues, and share volunteer opportunities at their favorite organizations.
We're invested in the communities where our team members live and work, so we find unique ways to partner with organizations who make a meaningful impact in our neighborhoods.
Justice for Change
At Relativity, we believe that discovering truth is fundamental to the creation of a more just world. The recent events surrounding racial injustice in the United States, and broader discussions on racial equality globally, have greatly impacted us and the communities in which we live and work – shining a light on oppression and injustice that have existed for hundreds of years.
